Produced by - Spoon Tree Productions & QPAC
Written & Performed by - Wolfe Bowart
Performing at the QPAC Playhouse from the 5th - 15th of January 2011
With the majority of the performance based around physical slapstick, this performance is most certainly targeted for a younger audience (9 - 14yrs). Now, this being said, the 40year old woman to my right, literally experienced the entire spectrum of human emotion.... literally!
It takes a very skilful playwright to go after a subject as intricately themed as the human mind.
"I've always been interested in memory - how at times it tumbleske Fibber McGee's closet and other times seems elusive, stuffed away like an old package in the attic." WOLFE BOWART (QPAC WEBSITE)
To say this performance is enchanting, is positively an understatement. Written and performed by Wolfe Bowart, the performance is a smorgasbord of physical theatre, circus, illusion, and interactive film, with the transitions between theatrical mediums perfected with such ease. 'Letter's End' is technically intricate but Bowart's performance is skilfully seamless.
Bowart's use of stage movement is incredible. An incredible performer he adapts the techniques of stage illusion to fit the mould of his performance, from small magic tricks, to puppeteering he is truly an actor of the highest calibre!
With all sorts of things coming out of QPAC for 2011 - Big congratulations on QPAC for getting ahold of the production!
